We finally have the twelve contestants necessary to get this show on the road!
Tuxavant, squidroe, LoupGaroux, Phinnaeus Gage, The Founder, chris200x9, cablepair, Matthew N. Wright, Rassah, legolouman, Yoon Yeonghwa, and Mousepotato are to be whisked off to hidden, remote internet locations, where they will be divided into two teams and given a super-secret task. They will be supervised by unbribable, inscrutable, inter-dimensional beings who will be monitoring and recording their every move. Once they’ve been released and their submissions are sent to the judges, their experiences – all the backstabbing, infighting, alliances, betrayals, heroics, romances, hoe-downs, etc. will be revealed for your viewing pleasure.

We wanted to send our contestants here...

...but this is all we could afford.
Stay tuned for more info on the tasks and deadlines!

After some slight hesitation from the bitcoin community, I’m happy to announce that applications for entry into the first season of Satoshi Superstars are coming in at a steady pace. The turnout includes some well known names at the bitcointalk forums but please remember, we’re looking for anyone interested in winning 100 BTC, whether you just heard about bitcoins yesterday or if you were the one who introduced Gavin to Satoshi.
Current List of First Season Contestants:

This Task is merely an example and will not be used, at least not in the first Season.
Your eccentric, Libertarian uncle recently passed away and mentioned you in his will. You and your cousins (Contestants) are gathered together to hear the details. His emu farm was the only thing of value he left behind and your uncle made provisions to leave it to only one descendant. You must present a business plan to the executors of his estate (Judges) outlining how you would not only maintain but grow the business accepting only bitcoins as a means of payment, according to your late uncle’s wishes. Assuming that the farm is currently only breaking even but has a good line of credit at the local bank, has no assets to speak of (other than the physical property and the emus) but no significant debt either, convince the Judges that you have the best plan to honor your uncle’s memory.
That’s right, the Grand Prize Winner of the Satoshi Superstar competition wins 100 BTC, along with all the bragging rights that come along with surviving the elimination rounds. Contestants must:
